Due to the present administration in Washington DC, it's best to either not talk politics or just tell people you're from Canada. OOOHHH, for the next election. A dissapointed American 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Are the Aussies anti-US? It seems to me they'd be welcoming regardless of your political leanings. I traveled there a couple years ago and everyone was extremely open.

Are there any Aussies out there who can weigh in?

I don't know how well we Americans are thought of world wide. I just know I am embarrassed about the leadership of my country. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

having spent a fair amount of time in australia over the past 7 years i can say that australians are smart enough to distinguish between american tourists and the american government. aussies are extremely friendly and welcoming to all visitors, especially americans. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Thank you for taking the time to put my mind at ease. I really appreciate it. Now I need to find places to do some fishing. I'll be camping throughout the Southeast states for three months. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
