Due to the present administration in Washington DC, it's best to either not talk politics or just tell people you're from Canada. OOOHHH, for the next election. A dissapointed American

A dissapointed American"Are the Aussies anti-US? It seems to me they'd be welcoming regardless of your political leanings. I traveled there a couple years ago and everyone was extremely open. I don't know how well we Americans are thought of world wide. I just know I am embarrassed about the leadership of my country.

having spent a fair amount of time in australia over the past 7 years i can say that australians are smart enough to distinguish between american tourists and the american government. aussies are extremely friendly and welcoming to all visitors, especially americans.

Thank you for taking the time to put my mind at ease. I really appreciate it. Now I need to find places to do some fishing. I'll be camping throughout the Southeast states for three months.
