What are your top picks for entertaining kids in Australia?

1. Sydney Harbor bridge walk. Not for very young children, but teens and pre-teens will love it.

2. Taronga Zoo, Sydney, NSW. Absolutely for young children and everyone else! One of the best zoos in the world.

3. Three Sisters, Blue Mountains, NSW. The three sisters - three upright "stalagmites" of stone - are the psychic heart of Australia's Blue Mountains. The Mountains' color comes from the eucalyptus trees which shimmer "blue" in the omnipresent sunshine. A trip to Katoomba is less than 2 hours from Sydney and well worth the drive for a fun family outing in the "bush".

4. Dine out in kid-friendly restaurants. (search for them here: http://www.menulog.com.au/browse/kids#dining).

5. Visit the Sydney Opera House.

6. Observe the city from above in the Observation Deck of Sydney Tower. Kids will surely love the feeling of being on the top, seeing lights and buildings below.

7. March with the Penguins in Penguin Island. If you're lucky, you could have your kid photographed with a penguin or two.
