- Litchfield National Park offers freshwater rock pools and spectacular waterfalls.
- Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge) is a breathtaking system of gorges and rapids.
- Nhulunbuy on the Gove Peninsula is ideal for bird watching and fishing.
- Alice Springs is an excellent base from which to explore the Red Centre.
