Australian Wines and Varietals
Wine plays an integral part of the relaxed lifestyle of Australia and there is a huge range of wine types from the hearty Shiraz wines of the
Barossa Valley (the largest single wine region) to the cool climate wines of
Tasmania.
Along with a thriving wine industry comes a passion that is often combined with the cultivation of delicious produce. This fresh and natural bounty springs from an interesting mix of microclimates that range from the steamy, tropical heat of the north to the brisk cool climate of the south.
Above all else, its Australia’s lifestyle that dictates how Australians eat and drink. For most, the preference is for a casual, but delicious meal -- sophisticated in its tastes and the way it brings their mates together.
And most to prefer to eat and drink with the best views possible – in unbelievable locations, be it outdoor or at the BBQ on a perfect Aussie summer day – ordering dinner in the desert under the big, starry sky of Uluru; eatting a feast on the rainforest floor under the ancient canopy of a World Heritage national park; or simply enjoying takeaway fish and chips on a beach.
Whether on the barbeque or on the playing field, we seek to create tradition rather than follow it. Australia is about spontaneity, fusion and above all else our love of outdoors.

Australia's shiraz wines are world-renowned, but did you know they also produce riesling, cabernet, and pinot? Grape-growing valleys are spread around the country, so regardless of where you're traveling, it's likely there are good wines nearby.
